we’ve been big fans of the tokyo-based brand ‘taion’ for a few years now and with good reason too. translating ‘body temperature’ from japanese to english, taion does a great job in keeping you warm as the temperature lowers. specialising in down-filled mid-layers with a military-inspired finish, taion is a welcome addition to the roster.

the military v-neck down coat by taion has a long-line, mid-thigh straight cut with a two-way zip front and v-neck style finish; it also has two zip-adjustable slits on the side to aid movement. produced in a 5mm square ripstop fabric with 800 fill power down/feather insulation the fabric has been onion-stitched and quilted for warmth and finished in cotton piping. it also features two front handwarmer pockets: one front snap-lock patch pocket with a side-entry concealed pocket.
